This week is very special for many reasons. Christmas is coming whether we are ready or not. Children's eyes sparkle, and parents scramble, and it all melts into the kind of family traditions we treasure from year to year.
Those of us in the Zentangle community celebrate together this week, the 100th Diva's Challenge: The Diva Dance. Laura Harms, has blessed us over and over again with this forum for drawing on a common theme, and then sharing our work in a safe environment. No winners, no losers, just delighted smiles, as we savor the beauty of every interpretation on the theme.
Even though I am very new to this wonderful community, I can already see the positive effects of this challenge, for all of us. Friendships begin through comments on blogs, we all learn something from every contribution, and it's all just so warm and welcoming.
From the bottom of my heart, Laura, thank you.
Maria designed the Diva Dance tangles, and they are so beautiful and versatile.
For you, Laura.

- Life is working full time, being married for 35 years, being mom to a grown daughter, and 2 15 yr old cats. Zentangle has changed my life, since I began to focus on it, in August of 2012. The most wonderful surprise in all of this , has been finding such a warm and wonderful community built around this art form. Without exception those I have encountered are encouraging, friendly, generous of spirit, and great fun! Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome. I hope you will enjoy this blog as much as I enjoy yours.
